Quilombola education: establishment and self-affirmation of black identity and culture through the school institution

This article aims to discuss Quilombola School Education, besides pointing out and dis-cussing its spatiality in Brazil. For that, a bibliographical survey on this subject was carried out, referenced by authors such as: Barbosa (1997), Bernardo (2006), Maciel (1997) and Saviani (2013), besides legal documents, half of this, to define the process of constitution of the quilombola school, its peculiarities and relevance for the whole society, demonstrat-ing that quilombola education corroborates the concept of cultural plurality and confronta-tion with social inequality. Such research was based on the quantitative character - number of quilombola schools in the country - and also qualitative, taking into account the reflec-tion and understanding of the data obtained. It is concluded that such schools have the potential to provoke the emancipation of the black populations, although they present difucencies can affect the characters to whom they are proposed.Downloads
