Social movements and education in Argentina: an approach to the recent studies

Abstract

Until some years ago, the political-pedagogical dimension of the emergent popular movements with the 2001 crisis, it constituted one of the lest analyzed aspects in the theoretical productions that had given account of its action; most of which emphasize its importance as collective answers to the poverty and unemployment, focusing in its actions of protest. Nevertheless, it seemed to constitute a new stage of studies. In this article we will make an approach to the recent studies in Argentina about the relation between education, formation and social movements; identifying the main problems of research, the social movements privileged in the analysis, the theoretical perspectives and the methodologies, among other aspects. For it, we were based on a survey that used publications of scientific events as source.
