The social participation on MOVA ABC: from popular movements of the years 60 to the neoliberal perspective

The present manuscript, from the category social participation, analyzes the breaks and present contradictions in the Movement of Literacy of the ABCD native of São Paulo regarding the proposals of the popular movements of youths and adults of the years 60. Interviews, statements, documents and official documents where used in analyses, based on critical theory, with special emphasis on studies and researches developed under a Freire’s educational perspective. The results show that between breaks and contradictions detach itself: the dependence of the movement to the oscillations of the financial resources and interests of the partners involved in detriment to the claims of the bases; the fragility of quick educational formation; The absence of the qualitative and quantitative facts about the demand and performance of the students, the which, allied to the ideological, historical, and spatial differences observed in the present movement, revel that the Regional MOVA distorts in some moments the proposal of popular education of Paulo Freire utilizing itself of their own principle.Downloads
