This text aims to reflect on popular education as a living process fed by the political and social struggles of the Northeast region of Brazil. It is therefore not possible to formulate just one pedagogical concept or practice related to this phenomenon. This paper attempts to provide evidence of the transformations that popular education is effecting, which are based on formative experiences and the latest demands of social movements in the Northeast. The shortcomings and obstacles that present themselves are directly connected to these aspects and reflect the choices made by the subjects who opt for this kind of education.Downloads
