Inclusion in portuguese basic education: intervention cognitive behavioral children with mental disabilities

Case study of qualitative methodology, held in 2014 in a children with Hyperactivity Disor-der and Attention Deficit (ADHD) and Mental Deficiency (DM), applying the cognitive behavioral Program from Villar and Llorente, comparing their results with a child said to ' normal ', from the same school. We have examined the individual dossiers and other doc-umentation necessary for the characterization and description of the subjects and your school context. Guiding objectives: meeting support services for children’s with special needs; deepening the theme of DM and propose intervention strategies for teachers. We have used the techniques of participant observation, Conners Scale, semi-structured inter-views to teachers and parents, field notes and triangulation of data. We have seen positive results with the program, which corroborated other studies. We proposed guidance strate-gies teachers from regular and support and for the parents, in order to improve learning and behavior of these students.Downloads
