Assistive technologies in hospital classes: possibilities for inclusion of children and adolescents with disabilities in cancer treatment

The article corresponds to the experience of the researchers, respectively, in a doctoral research and a university extension project both in progress and related to the training of teachers for the use of educational technologies in hospital classes that includes the care of children and adolescents with disabilities in cancer treatment. The objective is to reflect on the training of teachers to use assistive technologies in hospital classes; Present the needs of curricular adaptations and flexibilizations for the hospital; To report on inclusive peda-gogical practices in these spaces. For the construction of the text we use bibliographical and field research. We have as a result that assistive technologies are effectively needed in hospital classes, since it makes possible the inclusion of children and adolescents. We con-clude that financial investment is necessary to purchase equipment and teacher training, given the relevance of the theme, it is necessary to raise awareness among society and gov-ernment.Downloads
