Abstract

The classroom practice allowed to undergraduates by the PIBID program allows the vali-dation of theoretical knowledge, in addition to training a professional who has the ability to perceive diversity and new social configurations, which end up reflecting in the teaching environment. Thus, the Institutional Program of the Initiative for Teaching - PIBID - con-sidering the role of the school of basic education as a place of action of the teacher of Visual Arts, brings in the project of the program of the Federal University of Pará - UFPA, the focus on the axes themes: History, Afro-Brazilian and African Culture as well as Gen-der Diversity. This article is about reports of experiences in the applications of the activities and uses as a methodological tool the observation for a reflection on how this project contributed in the construction of the identity and in the professional formation of both undergraduate students and students of participating elementary schools.
