Abstract

This work resumes the problem of the focus configuration in the research and the teaching of the Philosophy of Education, supporting that it is defined by its own themes which result into configurations that take place in the historical practice of education realm. It also defends that the historical practice of education includes or involves themes that are already configured and must be constantly resumed regarding its continuous resignification without damaging the necessary configuration of new themes. It presents a synthesis of matters indicated or proposed by three Brazilian thinkers in this area as a way of promoting the debate on this theme. As a conclusion it is declared the necessity of reflecting on or indicating themes worthy of the Philosophy of Education analysis: both certain already configured themes and new themes. The research and teaching themes are necessary constructions as a way of shaping the definition field of this area.
