Researching the day-to-day reality of the Pedagogy course: an inconclusive ivestigation

My aim in this article is to contribute to the development of research on the day-to-day reality of the Pedagogy course. I start off with a general treatment of methods, of the dialectical historical materialism method and modalities of researches. Then, the research procedures and instruments of two investigations are analyzed. Even without any definitive results, because they are still inconclusive, I attempt to report the development of research which focus is the day-to-day reality of the Pedagogy course at the Departmento de Educação da Universidade Católica de Goiás (EDU-UCG), and at the Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Estadual de Minas Gerais, campus Belo Horizonte (FAE-UEMG-CBH). The results are described starting from the justification of the choice of a qualitative research methodology, in the action-research modality, and an institutional ethnographical type case study.Downloads
