The article discusses the possibilities of an education for autonomy, centered on the principles of socio-communitarian education. The aim is to define an understanding of socio-communitarian education as listening from the diversity of ideological conceptions and educational practices, which dispersed in everyday social life, constitute the subjectivity of the subject. Methodologically is a conceptual elaboration, whose theoretical frameworks are grounded in Freirean perspective and Human Capabilities Approach, as advocated by Sen and Nussbaum. The results are expected to foster new perspectives to focus on education for autonomy and emancipatory education, based on flowering areas of social interaction, in which it is possible to retrace dialogical sense as to what it means to educate.
