Manifestations of the need for continuing education for teachers of the 1st cycle of elementary school

This study aimed to identify the shortcomings in the training of teachers of the 1st cycle of elementary school who works in networks of municipal education in São Paulo State. This research was as methods, the survey and analysis of needs based on expressions of categories or groups – methodology strongly agreed among scholars who develop this type of analysis. The research universe consists of eight municipalities in the central region of São Paulo state, and had as subjects 331 teachers and eight administrators of education. The results showed that the continuing education of teachers to be effective under precarious conditions that not considered the professionals needs in favor of the needs of the systems. In this scenario, the effectiveness of training proposals, based on analysis of needs, it appears as a strategy for overcoming weaknesses, problems and dilemmas in the area.Downloads
