Abstract

This article investigates the relationship of children and teenagers with food at recess time. The investigation is done under the food well-being paradigm, which comes up on studies of Transformative Consumer Research (TCR). This exploratory research was conducted using a combination of non-participant observation and in-depth interview as data collection techniques. The gathered data were compared using the five core areas of food well-being proposed by Bublitz et al. (2011). With this research, we intend to contribute with the advance of TCR by applying the five core areas of food well-being on the eating habits of children and teenagers at recess time.
