Referring on the critical theory of society, this study presents considerations about theneed for studies that consider High School as social practice as well as the concepts that supportsthe analysis. Then these aspects are problematized and related to the nature and peculiarities ofHigh School (function of the school, work training, teens relationship with the school and thepolitical formation). High School can be an important space for debate about the social life. Itwould acquire an undeniable formative dimension, leading young people would reflect on theirown aspirations and expectations in confrontation with the social needs.Downloads
