The objective in this paper is to show that the novel The Gororoba: scenes of proletarian life of Brazil is essentially urban and innovates among those that belong to the social novel in 1930. Palhano’s story was one of the first that focalize the workman in Brazilian literature. He got to show us in this novel, evenil superficially, the life and the drama of the proletarians that worked in rubber extraction and in industry in the beginning of the XX century.Downloads
