This paper discusses the theme of the continuing education of teachers who work inthe elementary education in the context of the discussion on teacher training. The locus of thisexperience relates to two projects in two research teams Formation and Teaching Profession(Foprofi and Kaleidoscope, respectively): "Professional Development of Teachers and Educational Innovation: an exploratory study on Pibid contributions" this is a inter-institutional research, conducted with three public universities (Ceará, São Paulo and Minas Gerais), financed by Capes/Obeduc; and the project "Conversations with women-teachers in Santa Rita de Ouro Preto (2009-2015), which integrates Kaleidoscope Program. This article, based on two methodologies of research in the educational field – educational narratives and conversation – portrays as teachers are doing their continuing education within the mentioned research projects. The results show that subjects/researchers involved are located in a conception of teacher-researcher beyond what we generally called critical-reflective teacher and teacher-researcher.Downloads
