Discussing erotization in children: implications of the consumer society in the construction of the routine in the school institutions

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the erotization of childhood in the context of the consumer society that, in a wide way, contributes to the process of (human) training of the subjects involved and to analyze the impacts on children 's educational process in early childhood education. The consumer society increasingly extends its influence on individuals and, in the case of children, early cooptation emphasizes its power of influence and seduction of the small ones that are in the process of developing their identity and self-determination; thus necessitating a critical and consistent formative work from an early age. The bibliographic study uses Aquino (1998), Arendt (2013), Dozol (2007), Lipovetsky (2007), Lukács (1978), Moreira (2003), Saviani (1991) and other secondary readings. As a result, children need educators based on knowledge and criticism to mediate such information that is available to the children's audience through the teaching process.
