At the University, especially in the major level, the relation between the teaching and the research is especially complex: it requires from the professor not only to master his specific subject of research, but, at the same time, to master the teaching process, that is, how to guarantee that the student, a potential teacher in the future, will have access to this subject. Therefore, it is not enough for him to know the subject of his investigation; it is also necessary to know how to transpose it, didactically, from a technical level to an accessible one, with no distortion and excessive superficiality. Thus, the central thesis of this paper leads to a double faced relation between teaching and researching as a fundamental requirement for college mastering. Moreover, it points out that rhetoric and argumentation, respectively, can help to situate and understand the complex nature that is inherent to the art in being a professor and a researcher, simultaneously.Downloads
